India is the second largest producer of food and agri-commodities in the world, thereby playing a vital role in the global food processing industry. India's USD 600 Billion food processing industry is expected to grow three-fold by 2020.
The Food sector continues to rely heavily on Modern Food Processing and Storage technologies to overcome on the challenges and food wastage which is crucial for overall development of the Indian Food sector.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Southern Region has been organizing Foodpro since the year 1995. Foodpro is the platform for interface between the food technology sector and the food industry. With its cross-over concept covers everything from manufacturing and processing of foods, packaging, storage, transportation, food safety and retailing with a process orientation and cross-sector approach.


The13th edition of "Foodpro" is scheduled from 23 - 25 August 2019 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. Foodpro 2019 will focus on the current trends in food processing industry, showcase innovation through modern technology, build brand and create awareness.
